Lemonade Stand

I have a feeling that this was the first of a thousand lemonade stands to come.

Irene was VERY into the entire thing. Ezra's interest came and went, and ultimately he gave up and rode his bike.

Tobias was a very happy customer.

We're trying to show our kids that it's fun to give stuff away, so we made the lemonade free. But it's amazing how people feel really uncomfortable with receiving. One neighbor insisted that she give them a dollar. This tells all sorts of stuff about how our culture is confused. She's really gonna have a hard time with our next one....Irene wants to give away fresh baked cookies too.

That's great! Just this weekend some neighborhood kids set up shop across the street from us with the standard $0.25 fare. I suggested they give it away and accept donations, instead, but they didn't bite. Not as altruistically motivated, I guess, but it's interesting to hear that my theory played out for Irene.

YES! I love it! This is great training for your kids. The kingdom will feel like their shoes are on the wrong feet for the rest of their lives, they might as well get used to it now.
